The Truth About Water Fuel!
Introduction
There is a quite a buzz over the potential of water as a fuel. The dream of driving your car on just water
is enticing, but it also draws in the nut-jobs. There is confusion over the terminology used and in
fact the various methods that can be used to make it work.
Unfortunately this confusion and collection of half truths often leads people to the wrong conclusions,
which leads to failed attempts to make the technology work and can even be dangerous. If you have done any research already into the concepts of water as a fuel, I am sure you will have seen that there have been many attempts to debunk it.
In part - this is deserved. There is one very useful and effective method of using water as a fuel source, and hundreds of very popular and well backed methods that will do absolutely nothing. Popular opinion is sadly a very poor guide in this respect.
So I just wanted to say before I explain everything to you – yes you can use water to increase your
mileage. However, there is no way to enable your vehicle to be driven purely on hydrogen and oxygen
that is created on demand from water.
What Is Special About Hydrogen & Oxygen
I'm going to give you a very simple to understand version of the facts, and I will avoid using any industry specific terminology. Hopefully by doing this you will more readily grasp the concepts involved.
Hydrogen burns at an incredibly high speed. It is this incredible 3000 KPS (Kilometers Per Second)
flame-front speed that is of interest. Petrol for instance only explodes (burns) at a speed of 300-400 KPS and is relatively slow in comparison.
Before the above information gets you too excited, you need to consider the power of the explosion. Petrol burns slowly but with awesome power. Hydrogen-Oxygen when mixed will burn incredibly fast but with almost no power at all. The Hydrogen and Oxygen quickly collapse back to a water droplet leaving you with virtually no net gain in power.
Following this you would of course start to question how water can be a fuel at all. After all, how can a little puff of flame actually be of any use?
The Flaw Within The Combustion Engine
There is a flaw in the basic concept of a combustion engine, and that is the speed at which petrol or diesel burn. A normal engine works by channeling thousand of tiny explosions to turn your pistons, each little explosion helping in a tiny way to turn your wheels.
The problem with this is simply that petrol and diesel both burn slowly. So the explosion starts at one
end of the petrol or diesel vapor, and drives the rest of the vapor out of your engine before it ever starts to burn.
Basically petrol and diesel burn so slowly that by the time the majority of the fuel is burning, it is too late to capture this energy. In fact almost 80% of the power from your engine is lost because the fuel did not catch fire until it was already being blasted down the exhaust pipe.
What you see when you look at exhaust fumes is improperly burned fuel. Catalytic converts capture
most of these fumes so modern cars do not show the wasted fuel as readily as old cars, but it's still wasted.
How Hydrogen-Oxygen Solves This Flaw
As we mentioned earlier, when you mix Hydrogen-Oxygen in the correct proportions, HHO, then the flame front speed is 3000KPS (Kilometers Per Second).
By putting a very small amount of your Hydrogen-Oxygen gas in with the air that goes into your engine, the fast flame front of the Hydrogen-Oxygen contributes almost nothing to the power of your engine, but it ignites 100% of the petrol while the fuel is still in the pistons where it can deliver power.
Now let me explain this again as I do not want you to be mislead. The Hydrogen-Oxygen gas has no real power and is not needed in large quantities. It only needs to ignite all the petrol fumes in your piston chamber to regain you up to 80% of your cars power.
Currently you are only using 20%-40% of the power from the petrol you put in your car. The rest of the
power is wasted but can be regained.
There is a Snag
You may now be thinking you will receive almost double the power from your engine. You won't.
In fact your car is only designed to feed enough air into the engine to ignite the fuel quantities that normally burn in the engine. Cars don't bother designing cars to draw in enough Oxygen to burn fuel which they know will never be burned in the fuel chamber.
What this does mean is that if you now turn your fuel input down to 20%-30% of what you currently have it set to, this will burn with close to 100% efficiency, giving you the same power as you now have just petrol or diesel.
So the end result is that by adding a small amount of Hydrogen-Oxygen gas into your engines air intake, you can lower your fuel requirements to virtually nothing, but still have the same power you currently enjoy.
Another Snag
The purpose of this post is not to try and teach you everything there is to know about building on demand Hydrogen-Oxygen gas producing systems, just to clear out the myths and show you the truth.
One other snag you will come up against though, is that most modern cars have an Oxygen sensor that
tries to automatically adjust the Oxygen intake to match the fuel intake. There is a small chip you can buy and fit or have fitted that very simply circumvents this problem, called an EFIE.
Without fixing this sensor to allow sufficient air into the engine, even though the petrol/diesel has all be
engulfed in the Hydrogen-Oxygen flame front, it still won't burn. This is the same thing as when your school teacher put a glass over a candle and showed that without enough Oxygen nothing can burn.
Fitting an EFIE device is simple to do, but if you do not do it then you will not see the benefits of a
Hydrogen-Oxygen on-demand system fitted in your car.
Putting it all Together
As you have seen you certainly can run your car on a mere fraction of the fuel you currently use.
Hydrogen-Oxygen cannot replace your normal fuel but it can make it so efficiently burn that you only need a small amount of traditional fuel to get the same power you currently enjoy.
Some systems try to convince you that they can power your car purely on Hydrogen-Oxygen gas, they
can't. The gas simply doesn't have the heat (BTU). But then that's not the goal.
If you are going to build your own on demand Hydrogen-Oxygen generating unit, I strongly suggest
you look at this company as they have one of the best guides in my opinion, and their instructions are very thorough and simple to follow.
